Default LS2 into a 98 and up V6, easy?

I want to drop a ls2 into a 98 or up V6 f-bod. I am looking for a shell of a v-6 f-bod now and when I get it, I plan on the ls2 going into it, with a th-400 and 12-bolt or 9-in. rear end. I don't have a clue if this is going to be hard or easy. I was thinking of using a bmr k-member also. What I keep thinking is are the mounts for the motor any different, and are there any conversion kits out there that will make it easy. The only reason I am going to use a v-6 is cause you can find them for reasonable prices. My main question, is what is the difference between the v-6 and v-8 shells on 98 and up f-bodys? I am going to make a drag car out of it and looking to go low 9's in it. Going to need some help though. Thank you in advance.

i dont believe anything from the v6 swaps to the v8..you have a couple things covered but i do believe even things like the fuel pumps and components arent the same...be prepared to swap just about everything

It won't be too bad if you're just building a drag car. Just wire the Ls2 as a standalone, and pull out all the AC and ABS, wiring for the dashboard. You'll save a ton of weight and aggrivation.
