I understand getting tired of a shabby chassis. I was immediately thinking of transferring the swap to a better chassis. Being involved with the BMW club (actually founder of the MotorCity chapter) I occasionally see nice E36/E46 with a blown OEM engine.
Agree that an E46 would be a better swap.
Just saw a 2008 BMW 335i run a 12.4 @113 at the track, beating a stock(ish) C5. The car had the same JB4 computer enhancement as mine, but was running a different tune (selectable from the steering wheel) with 50% E85 and a simple mod to spool the turbos during the count-down.
