The Merv- Yours could have been off from constructing your own engine mounts?
Luckily I'm using a BMR unit for an LS1, so hopefully I won't run into that issue.

Good information in this post,
Nice to see your swap is coming together,
Gotta question on the M6 swap cars..
What is the consensus on what has to be changed over to LS1 style,
as far as staying with the stock pedals, changing hydraulics, slave cylinder etc.

That is correct. Pedals are fine, just change over to an LS1 style slave and master. Make sure you have an LS1 style clutch as well. I think there are some differences. I know the slave works in totally different ways, and the LS1 tranny doesn't have a clutch fork.

And let me get this straight, as long as I am using a t56, I can use the stock LS1 engine k member and the stock LT1 t56 crossmember and they will bolt directly up to my LT1 car?
Also Merv, how much would you charge to redo an LT1 harness for me to put an LS1 in? Its something that would make the swap that much easier!

The T-56 stays in the same location, so that is easy to work with.
As far as the Harness goes..I have been asked by a few people. Let me finish mine up, get everything worked out, so that way I have a set Blue Print for them, and then I'll see what I can do.

How hard was it to find the steering rack from an ls1 car?
And help with the harness would be badass! I live in Missouri and could maybe meet you someplace south of here to save time on shipping and to meet a fellow member.

Pedals are the same. The hydrolics are different.
Yes, you can use an LS1 K-member (or the adapted LT1 K-member for that matter) and the stock LT1 tranny crossmember, and things will line up perfectly.
An LS1 rack is easy to find. Just PM everyone who has a "parting out" thread. Make sure you get the LS1 steering knuckle too.

I'll get it up in a thread..it was in a while back, tried to make it a sticky but it never stuck. Looks like it's more popular this time.
All it consists of is matching Wires, moving some, and splicing into some to get what you need. The difference between the LT1 and LS1 is 2 more Wires that need power to them, it's not that hard to do once you get in there. I have no AC and a Manual Fan setup..I have a few more Wires to play with though..
