What do you guys think this is worth? It is all original, 140K miles, very solid, zero rust, been owned by the same dude for the last 12 years. He says he only put 3K miles on it since he has had it. Lives in a nice garage. Mint interior. Drove nice. Had a surging brake pedal when braking hard. Was a little wobbly around corners and after looking at the pictures, I understand why...See if anyone spots the problem...It is kind of weird to see this car and it is 30 years old. When I bought my GTO in 1985 it was only 15 years old and it was in worse shape.

What would you pay for it?

Andrew
I have had G-bodies from the Midwest, from CA, CO, NM, NY, and a few others.

That one is good looks good enough, but most silver needs redone to be tip top. All dark claret interiors like that are fade-prone. And I would be very careful about the creases and seams with regards to rot.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE silver. I did pull my claret for saddle in another. But if you're paying good coin, start with a more ideal color combo, since you're admittedly re-doing all drivetrain guaranteed.

F-body alternator mount fits in a g-body. Notch the Frame on the other side for the compressor.

The 4-gen F-body alternator/bracket will fit in a G-body, depending on the engine mounting brackets used and the specific steering box your car is equipped with. The quick ratio Saginaw 700 series steering boxes offer the most clearance and the more common 605 boxes offer the least. Hooker offers a low-mount bracket for the Sanden SD7B10 compressor that permits installation without having to notch the frame; it can be used with the stock 4th-gen alternator/bracket, or with the Holley 4th-gen style accessory drive set-up. Here's a couple of photos of the Holley set-up on a G-body.

Could anyone comment on the driveshaft length for the 80e Holley swap system with a GN 10 bolt? I'd love to be able to steal a th400 shaft from an A body replace the rear u joint with a conversion joint and let the big dawg eat but my guess is I will have to adjust the length, rebalance etc...

Not sure why I am getting an error on the search function but I can't seem to find data on this easily. Admittedly I could contact Holley directly but was looking for what guys have done here. Thanks in advance!

Default pass side alt

ICT has an alternator only accessory for the truck spacing that puts the alt on Pass side. Which is the one I plan to use.

got any more pictures of the headlight bezels?? might be interested in a set

It actually looks like HEDMAN has got me covered. Says it'll work with a manual and the number 7 tube looks like its angled perfectly.

I'm converting my car from f body engine accessories to corvette, and wondering what others have done for the high pressure power steering line? I have the stock one from a 2003 c5 vette if it will work.

If you get a chance, check under the back seat. I've worked on tons of these cars since the mid 90's and several were very clean looking from a distance, but had holes (or the metal was very weak, like you could poke it with a screwdriver and go through) under the back seat. Where I'm at that car would probably be in the $5-7k range, if it's as clean and solid as it looks. By now, most of the ones I see have been swapped to carb, A/C is missing and they have hidden rust. lol

I have accessories and LS1 from a 2000 Corvette and am using the stock PS line for the high pressure side. I did use a new PS box with a fitting that matches the Corvette line. I previously made a PS line by putting the older style fitting on a 2000 Corvette PS line because I didn't realize the new box had a different fitting. It's unused, PM me if you want it.

I’ll keep that in mind on the line thank you! I thought the corvette line had the same size fitting as the factory 86 Monte Carlo I’m putting this in.

I have Corvette accessories, in an 86 Monte & using the factory Vette high pressure line. I do't remember what year the hose was from, pump is a C5, all had correct fittings.

Great, thanks Scot. Did you see my post that I am using the hooker ls swap headers with 1" setbacks mounts?
