LSX in a Crown Victoria. Anyone tried it?

never seen an ls motor in a crown vic but ive got a friend with a lightning motor in his. and its........pretty damn fast. engine actuall bolts right in. no cutting or welding

The new Crown Vics have really updated chassis with rack & pinion steering, alloy rear control arms etc so they would be a great candidate for an LS swap. Those Mod motors are just too heavy man but to each his own.

The 'Vic isn't so different from a Mustang in many regards. They use the same 4.6L, and if there's on thing that has been shown many times here, you can quickly and easily modify 4.6L motor mounts to bolt an LS1 directly into place of a 4.6L

ok, by no means am i saying that for is better than chevy. my very religion would be challenged by uttering those words. however, given about two weeks ( of real wrenching time ), the money comprable to swapping an ls1 into a crown vic you could have a car that is under 4000lbs, has a 700lb. weight advantage over a lighting, and with a simple blower pulley change, ford racing shorty headers(the stock crown vic manifolds will bolt directly to the lightning engine-a little restrictive), a dual exhaust, and an SCT tuner, and runs in the mid to high 12's. mind you, you WILL have to cut the hood, and you will not get any traction with anything smaller than 325BFG drag radials. all of this on a relatively stock engine. figure this, a lightning, with a 4lb. pulley, cold air intake, exhaust, and a good tune will run about an average of 12.8-12.9, if this engine is in a crown vic, you can take .7secs off that time. figure that. thank you for reading, being that im talking all ford and what not. just go to Streetfire.net and type quickcrownvic into the search bar, and you will see what im talking about. for some reason i cant get the links to work, maybe im retarded, or i would just put the links up here. go to streetfire like i said, you wont be dissapointed.
