LT1 to LS1 swap...how hard?
just wondering how hard it is to do an LT1 to LS1 swap...Know i need a LS1 wiring harness and PCM, and the K memebers have to changed out...just curious as to how big of a PITA it is

i think its a very smooth transition if you have a 97 car. get the Ls1 and T56, wiring harness, ls1 k member. and clutch setup. Prolly need a new radiator and condensor if you wanna do it right. there are about 3-4 guys on the forum who have done it. i wish i would've done it to my 96 but thats another story and now i have a 97!

Condenser is gone, car has no A/C and will never have it agian prolly, I need a new radiator anyway so thanks for that bit of help as it eliminates some head scracthing

i'm currently doing this swap right now and i lucked out by having a complete 98 TA donor car. But the tranny was shot so i had to buy a special flex plate to adapt my LT1 tranny to the LS1 block. So far its nickled and dimed my *** to the ground but alot of it was precautionary BS that i weanted to eliminate down the road. plugs, wires,main seal, motor mounts, painting the engine bay, etc..... good luck! wiring is gonna be fun

I am curious about this swap as well...I have a 94 Z28 the motor is pulled out from the bottom..I blew it up and i was just wondering what do I need for the swap besides the motor,wiring harness,computer,subframe...Its an auto

I am thinking about doing a ls6 swap this winter. does any one know a good link where i can get some needed info... I have been looking and cant find anything good.

Not too hard to do, Wiring is pretty easy..
Don't touch ANYTHING with the Wiring on the Fuel Guage, that's on a different Circuit. Most people have a mis-conception about that.
Here is my swap..
