Default Tubular K member for 69 Chevelle?

Does anyone know who builds a tubular K member for a 69 Chevelle?

Is that even possible on a full frame car?

Sure, all you are doing is replacing the crossmember with light weight parts. A friend of mine is doing a LS1/4L60 swap into his 69 Chevelle and we are trying to find as many ways as possible to lose weight. Hell he is lucky he only weings about a 120 so it all has to come off the car.

Try Hotrods to Hell as I know they have a A arm kit and do custom suspension stuff. Or maybe Jim Meyer Racing . One more Fatman Fabrications . I didn't see any of those list them, but it would be worth a call. They might could do one or know who does.
I got the Fatman kit for my '68 Chevy Stepside and I'm really happy with it. I got the stage III kit which is crossmember, tubular/polished Mustang II a-arms, Carrera coil overs, spindles, GM rotors and calipers, rack and pinion etc. Have to drill 4 holes and make two welds.

Wouldn't the only way to do someyhing like that would be to take out the whole front of the frame and reweld in a new lightened front end.

No, think about it this way. The front suspension/brakes and the engine bolt to the crossmember (K member). Then the crossmember bolts to the frame. All you need is a tubular setup that will accommodate those three requirements.

Many probably didn't realize that the crossmember bolted to the frame on the Chevelle (I know I didn't).

What Speartech said...not gonna happen. Unless you're handy with a torch and want to build a whole new frontend.
