Default LS motor in a 56 chevy

Greetings all, I am new to this site. I am seriously considering intalling an LS motor in my 56 chevy. I was very close to pulling the trigger on a big block install but as I read more and more about the LS motors I am starting to change my mind. Anyone running an LS motor in a tri-five? I would probably use a 5 speed and I am researching what I need to do such as: engine placement, firewall mods, fuel system, wiring system, clearance issues.
I am in the process of a complete frame off resto so it is very easy to work on and I can. I appreciate any help. Thanks! Dave
