Just found this thread - glad to see I'm not alone putting one of these in. I just found a really cheap deal on a 4.8/6L90E out of an express van. Trying to make a solid daily driver out of a 78' F150.

Tune is all stock still, used a Lokar shift rod to adapt the stock Ford column shifter.

This thread is well into it's 10th anniversary since I started it back in April 2008. An awesome 174,000+ views, but what is more awesome is that while this seemed to be the first A6 in a Gen 1 (or Gen 2) Camaro, reading through some really cool posts "documenting" various A6 conversion, it has now multiplied out to be almost common place in Camaros and other early muscle examples, and some awesomely great craftsmanship on conversion builds.

And now even into Gen V LT1, LT4, LT5 engines with A8's & A10's even. (silhouette is similar if not the same as the A6's).

Happy New Year to all. 10 years on and the '68 Camaro with LS7 & 6L90E A6, still going strong. . And now there are lots of them
