Sound like a good project going on.. but pictures are a good thing..

How soon do you expect to be on the track and report your "Dyno" numbers ! Any pre-Dyno numbers on the HP ?

Stock front clip or aftermarket? What are you using for headers - aftermarket brand or home-built?

stock front clip, with rack from a mustang and used qa1's from a f-body,saved $$$$$! i built the headers, i started this project 4-5 years ago then built a house and then came children......... you may know the story! i am getting back in to it, just trying to raise my gear head sons properly. a couple of years ago before stuff was available for this engine i cut the factory corvette manifolds apart to get the head flange, thats how i started.i see alot of fords getting chevy power,14years ago i put 406cu.in chevy in a 1982 mercury capri. i loved to street race 5.0's with an extra 100cu.in they never knew what happened-ha ha! o-back to my front clip the car has gone 10 10 with a different combination, and still has drum brakes on all corners. when i get the pictures on here people will know i'm no stroker! in a perfact world all chassis componets would go in there perfact place but put a late model engine in a 42year old car,and you want to have people like jerry bickel or warren johnson on speed dial.

I am very interested to see some pictures of what you have done. From your description, it sounds like you used the Wegner/GM front distributor drive cover, right? I am thinking about the same thing and would like to know where you got your accessory drive stuff and balancer. So far, all I have found is an ATI dampner, but not pulleys. I've got a 67 Nova that I want to put an LS# utilizing the stock front clip. I also want to go 'old school' and use a distributor just to be different.

It's looking good man. I've always had a soft spot for 66-67 Novas. What was your reasoning for putting a distributor on it though?

with the cam i had ground, at the time the ecm would not work, and the controler for the coil packs did not exist. you can't beat a 6al,dist.and a worked over 8156 holley. with a 5700stall speed conv. a trans. brake,=efi throttle response!!!!!

Your engine setup looks awesome! Are those Katech valve covers?
Did you use the GMPP front dist. setup or fab the setup yourself?
