V8 swap
I have a 2007 classic silverado 1500 W/T RCSB, and i’m doing the v6-v8 engine swap. My truck currently has the 4.3L vortec. I bought a running 2003 gmc sierra 1500 4x4, and removed the engine, harness, gas pedal, power steering, rad, and all hoses/intake. I also have the PCM, fuse box, etc. Will I be able to run the stock v8 PCM from my donor truck, or will i need to get it (or my v6 pcm) tuned after i put everything in my truck? I’m also aware that i will need to run fuel lines for the v8, which isn’t an issue as i will be changing the pump soon anyways. is there anything else i am forgetting that i need to remove from my donor truck before i scrap it? thanks.

How to get A/C and ABS to work
I have a 5.3 LS lm7 that I pulled out of a 01 GMC Yukon complete motor and 4l60 drive-by-wire throttle I want to drop it in my 05 Silverado single cab short bed it currently has a 4.3 V6 I have all the necessary stuff to drop in the motor I had the harness rework to standalone and the computer reflash my question is the guy that did the standalone he removed all the AC wiring and abs so once I do the swap how would I get my AC and abs to work

I have recently done a V6 two V8 swap on a 2002 Silverado the motor that I swapped into it is a 2005 Yukon 6.0l now everything is all hooked up together all the plugs everything is plug-in except one plug from the engine harness to the chassis harness the engine harness is white The chassis harness connector is blue those two don't plug into each other because a different style plugs I don't know if the motor and the harness is too new for the trucks chassis harness or is there somehow I can overpass that plug if anyone can help me that be great thank you

Isn't that the point?
I mean, isn't that kind of the point? At least untill you get your issue sorted out when they should come back and write a follow up on how it was resolved to help out future people needing help. Forums exist for people to talk about and also ASK about the forums topic. Usually, people are consulting forums because they are in need of help so I don't see the issue??? If someone's here asking questions that means they are doing their due diligence bro and they are stuck or can't find it anywhere else, help em out if you can and if not keep it pushing. Js

to whoever couldn’t get the one plug for truck harness to work, if chassis is 03+ & harness is 02/older, you’ll need a 03+ harness (blue green) for it to work. if you need to swap wire to cable throttle, brian at lt1swap .com I think it is has amazing write up on it.
I bought v8 mounts they wouldn’t work so I stupidly ran the v6 mounts. my motor is supposed to pull over 650 when finished, how nervous would you be?
