Default Problems (240sx LS1)

I'm about to finish with this project... but I have this Hole in my Tranny (A bolt seems to be missing there) which is getting the oil out... I don't know whats sopoused to be there? (OIL level indicator?, Bolt for Oil refill I really don't know)

How many holes does the 4L60E have?!

1 more thing, can someone help me to find a thread or good information on how to ground the LS1 cause electrical wirring is about to finish and I need to start grounding all the spots...

Thanks

Wajeb Wahab

I can't help you with the tranny issue. The harness should have three ground wires that bolt to the back of the drivers side cylinder head.

Thanks for your help bro... Any other grounding places? like for the PCM? does it need any grounding? and what about the engine itself... doesn't it need ground wires from the manifold to the Firewall...? cause all my other cars did...

there should be a ground strap from the frame to the block . but its not as critical as the other three that ls1mcss mentioned ( my car ran for 2 years without it ) .
the pcm gets grounded by using the three grounds in the back of the head.

can you post a pic of the tranny showing the hole you are talking about.

by the way, where are you located?

I think you should take a picture of the actual hole on the transmission and then someone will be able to identify what goes there.
