Default just bought the 02 wrx with ls1

figure i would get u guys and up date on this build. i just bought it and its going under my knife soon after i get my truck done in a week. heres what i got...02 wrx rolling chassis with a 10 point roll cage, ls1 wiring and comp wired in to the wrx wiring. full airride front and rear. 95 bird irs no axles. fully shaved handels and badges. popers on drivers side. all i need is a driveshaft, axles and engine, tranny. axles-2000 shipped rated for 900 HP all brand new custom made so i can keep the subi lugs in rear. engine-1200, 6 speed- 1000 drive shaft-120. then i also need hood and headlights which will be 500. my fuel system will be around 500 bucks. and the car should be on the road by spring.

let me know what you guys think

I remember the last one of these that was done on here. It turned into a sgit storm, but it was definetly a cool car. I thought you bought it when I saw your thread title.

The original LS1 to WRX project on here was cool. I love Subies so make me proud son! BTW, there hasn't been a successful LS1 to WRX swap that I've seen. Hurry up and finish and pave the way for the rest of us that want one lol.

Just one warning.. if your doors are shaved.. you might not be allowed on the Drag strip... should you crash and get knock out or disabled.. the workers have no way of getting to you.. most track will not allow you on unless there is a way to open the doors. At lease at most sanctioned NHRA or other sanctioned strips..

But keep us posted on the project !

The tech guy at my track just wanted an external button. I wired a button up and made a bracket that sandwiched in the window frame.
