Default Diode Recommendation

I'm going to wire up my radiator fans to be controlled by the thermal switch on my after market AC system. Additional to that, the fans will be controlled by temperature coolant (both through relays of course). What diodes should I use for the circuit, and where to buy (please be specific, if you can). Also, does the circuit need to be redundant (diodes on both circuits)?

Thanks,
Andy1

i have been thinking about the same thing. the problem is that the realys are grounded by the pcm. the ac is 12v pos at the clutch. how can you make that work?

SatisTraction ,

In my case, I will not be using the PCM at all for AC controls.

Why do you think you need diodes?

From what you are saying, you want either the AC or the coolant temp switch to turn on the fans.

I would just put two relay outputs in parallel and power each relay coil from the individual sensors.
