I'm installing a LS1 with a 4L60E transmission into a 67 Camaro and was wondering how much modification is needed to use a 400 turbo crossmemember ? Is it worth the trouble, or fairly simple ? Also, what would be a good rear end gear for normal driving with this set-up ?

Thanks

The Th400 crossmember is offsety by 2". You will have to cut the mount off and center it first. Th400s were mated with big blocks. To get the big blocks to clear the steering box they offset the engine drivetrain 2" to the passenger side. I cut my crossmember shorter to fit between the frame rails, flipped it backwards (mount to the front) welded a 6" piece of angle iron to each side and bolted it through the front subframe, subframeconnctor/subframe, and subframe. This is with a T56 though couldnt be much different then a 4l60e

Tires will probably be 275/40 -17s on the rear.
