Lokar makes some very nice flexible units.

Default Lokar

I had a Lokar on a 69 firebird (came that way) - it was a PITA to read the fluid on the plastic guage - I'd never buy one myself for that reason

i dont like lokar for the readings either.
i run a stock z06 dipstick. its the lowest profile of any of the dipsticks at the time of my swap.
it sticks up, but nothing like the truck or the f body ones.

Lokar has changed there inner wire about a year and a half ago. It is much better and easy to read.
