Default a/c unit

I'm trying to mount an a factory C5 a/c unit under the dash with limited space for my conversion. Is there any reason I can't install it in upside down for clearance reasons? Pretty sure the answer is why not...

I dont think you cant because of condensation drainage off the evaporator. It is designed to go down away from flaps.

Default a/c unit

I could drill a small hole on the other side and drain it out that way?
