I need to know, which color wires under steering column- Ignition switch key from Camaro V6. I am working on LS2 Carb. Motor/01'Camaro.

I need to know which color goes connect to:
1) Ign. Switch >Accessories
2) Ign..Switch> BAT. Or Power
3) Ign.. Switch> IGNition
4) Ign.. Switch> Neutral Safety switch
Relating to Netural safety switch- I already remove the safety switch at Manual 6 spd.

Finally, I took the steering wheel out from under column and look for the wires goes to and from. It is 2001 Camaro v-6 and now install LS2 Carbed Motor without CPU. Also I keep that OEM steering column.

Anyone who know which those color wires goes to?

At Turn Signal Switch color wire:
white>?
green> ?
yellow>?
purple>?
brown>?
blue>?
light blue> ?
black> ?
lime-green>?
tan>?

At Multi-Function Lever color wire:
white>Fused Output- Accessory ?
gray> windshield wiper -signal on ?
green> windshield wiper- low speed ?
purple> windshield wiper- high speed ?
pink> windshield wiper signal ?
black> cruise control?
blue> cruise control?
gray> cruise control?
pink> fused output-Ignition?

At Ignition Switch color wire:
white>
white>
which I should connect on two white for ignition switch? At ignition switch position, Start and Run? ACC.?

Appreciate for input.

Check out a FSM, Haynes or Chilton manual. They will label each.

I want to make sure those wires are correct in order???

ACC (Accessories)>>Alt. Exciter) Alt. Exciter wire from Alternator and to Fuse box and connect to Ign. Switch marker >Accessories

IGN (Ignition)>> Coil wire goes to Fuse box and connect to Ign. switch marker> IGN.

BAT>>Starter Solenoid (“+” terminal) wire from fuse box and connect to Ign..Switch marker> BAT.

ST (Start)>>Starter Solenoid (“S” terminal) wire from fuse box and connect to Ign.. Switch> START

I can't get info. of manaul book..Anyone may know ????
LS1 Manual showed Ignition switch in order (clockwise) is:
1. ACC. > Connect to ACC.
2 Lock >
3. Run >???? or connect to Starter Solenoid "+"??? or Connect to IGN.
4. blub test >????
5. start > connect to Starter Solenoid "S"

places you can find wiring diagrams
1.Chilton manual. You can buy this at your local auto parts store....napa,autozone,etc
2.Alldata. Your local library
3 Mitchell . Your local library
4. GM Dealer. If you can convince them to get you the info

I get all my wiring diagrams from my library. It costs 5 cents to print a page.
I'm looking through my Chilton Camaro/Firebird 1993-2002 Repair Manual and cant find the info you need.

You should be looking for a connector that looks like this. I think it is a two part plug. It should have a rod going inot it from the actual key switch. It is located at the bottom of the steering colum where it goes into the floor.

Look #7 picture, those wires from Steering column are there what I look. That is all.
Those wires are 2- 11 pins flat connectors and small connector (Orange heat shrink )22 ga> (that goes to Lock Cylinder Ignition switch).
DDCarter, your pix is not same what I was looking.

Let me send you more pix after lunch..

I don't understand the need for the wires. I looked at schematics for an hour and a half, but can't come up with a diagram for that connector. I know which one you are talking about, but don't know if your 01 will be the same as my 79. Blinker wires should all be the same color.

What are you doing with the connector?

You shouldn't have to do anything with this connector if you are getting rid of your computer to run a carb.......

I set up the fuse box mount on middle.
ACC>>Alternator Exciter ( #1=R) #14 White (14GA.) wire from Fuse box under Dash , then it change to #33 Orange (14GA.) wire at Fuse box under dash, And it goes to Ign. Switch marker>Accessories (ACC.)

IGN>> MSD Coil positive side (+) #20 Pink (14GA.) wire from fuse box under Dash, And it goes to Ign. Switch marker >Ignition (IGN.)

BAT>>Starter Solenoid (“+” terminal) #34 Red (10GA) wire from fuse box under dash, And it goes to Ign..Switch marker> BAT.
* Add Voltmeter Gauge
* All Gauges

ST>>4) Starter Solenoid (“S” terminal) #19 Purple (10GA) wire from fuse box under dash, And it goes to Ign.. Switch marker> Neutral Safety switch (S)

I want stay OEM Steering. I look for where wires (white ACC., red BAT., pink IGN., purple ST.) are from that OEM Steering column -Ignition switch wires and multifunction, should connect to the fuse box.
