Nice ride man. If you could get it to hook 10's should be no problem. Whats the race weight if you dont mind me asking?

Yes...getting it to hook with 30 series street tires is not easy. The above 60 foot time was my best ever and usually run 2.0-2.1 seconds (not so good!) Once I get to the 1/8 mile...I cram it in third gear and watch the tach and the speedometer sing away. It will do 140mph in 3rd gear @ 7000 RPM. I've had it in upper reaches of 4th gear @ 175mph on the freeway...but that gets me a little nervous. LOL. It's rear wheel drive. The gearbox is a highly modified 930turbo 4spd (60mph in 1st, 100mph in 2nd, 140mph in 3rd & 190mph+ in 4th. It is strictly made for the big roadcourse tracks and I occasionally bring it to the strip to see how it does in the 1/4 mile. It's been alot of fun to say the least. It weighs 2500lbs.

Cool swap!
Do you road race it (as in on track)?
High speed auto-crosses are a blast and relatively safe.
It would be like a 4 hour drive, but you should come run Blackhawk Farms next sat!

I've been to Black Hawk Farms in South Beloit, IL. It's a nice tight track! I'll be going to BIR this weekend.

You have got to post video of your car on the strip. Must be a fun, exciting drive.

Cool swap.. and sounds like fun. Did I miss the build thread on this one? Post up a couple pics. I'd like to see how you shoe-horned it in.

Very cool, nice job with the headers!

Thanks, the headers were a real challenge to fabricate. They required all the patience and skill I could muster. After 4 years, they have held up quite well...no cracks or leaks of any kind. I am now considering making a new set of 1 7/8" headers... Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I frequent this site often to keep my LS knowledge up to par. I am very seriously considering doing a 100 shot of nitrous so I can easily run into the 10's on the strip and hold off the Carrera GT's on the BIR 1 mile straight. LOL

I think you will run 10's just hitting the track 2-3 more times.

I had a very similar engine combo in my 3300 raceweight 2000 Z/28 and went 10.92@122.5mph on a 1.48.

Dude you are giving me some hope at running some killer mph in the 1/4. Love the conversion you made. Been watching it. A 914 was a consideration for me, but did a miata. I need a tune badly and have one isssue to fix and then toi the track I go. I am at a 2650lb weight right now and with driver 2830lbs. I just added a Fast90/90 and a larger cam. Old power was 448/442rwhp/tq. Looking for 470rwhp and a 130mph plus trap speed!!!
