Default Very easy wiring question

Does there absolutely have to be an accessory/run/start power feed into the Blue C1 pin 75 and to the trans? Will they work as run/starts? I don't have an accessory/run/start position.

Are you sure about C1 pin 75? I checked my wiring diagrams for 98 and 99-02 and there's no power to that pin in either of them. But the simple answer to your question is NO, you don't ever need "accessory" power to the PCM. They're only ever hot in "run, bulb test, and start" depending on which circut your working with. Hope this helps.

Sorry, I should have said it is a 2003 Express van setup. The the best of my knowledge it is for "luxury" functions of the donor truck, I thought about it for a few minutes and wired it run/start.

Ok, well that makes more sense then. I looked at the wiring diagram and that wire powers the 3-2, 2-3, 1-2, and TCC solenoids in the trans, so I would think you'll be alright wiring it up in start and run only.
