LS1 in an 91 RX-7.
We have a NOID light hooked up when we start cranking.
The light flashes twice (on both sides of the rail) and then nothing.
Engine will not fire on its own but will run on ether. Leaves us to believe its a fuel issue...

Any insight on what we are missing?

what motor, ecu, and harness are you running

2000 LS1, ECU and Harness.

youve checked all the connections to the sensors ? cam and crank are key for injectors also the map sensor controls pulse width so be sure that its plugged in.

also could be VATS, is the fuel system priming ? what is the static fuel pressure at the rail ?

I think it may have something to do with VATS. Have an ECU that supposedly has VATS, rear O2's and EGR disabled. Gave me the whole "Run for 3 seconds and shut down" trick.

research the vats, i dont know much about it but it sounds like that may be the issue
