I'm looking for a complete dropout. All accessories, harness, ecu, etc. If anyone knows of any good sources to look into please let me know. I am wanting the engine for my jeep. Would prefer to find one with a NV3500 but I know those aren't easy to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked on ebay but they are mostly selling longblocks, not complete dropouts.

look up jasper jones automotive in dandridge tennessee they have what ever you want ranging from 4.8,5.3 and 6.0. I have a current performance standalone harness with ecu for a 5.3 if you got any interest let me know. I also have all the stock 5.3 stuff with 2 throttle body's(1 dbw and a 78mm cable tb), ls1 intake manifold, truck manifold, all kinds of stuff. that you could use. pm and ill make you a deal. hell ill even go look at the motor for you if ya wanted. they are great guys to deal with.

I would check for engines on www.car-part.com and start calling the yards. A lot of them do only sell the longblock, but there are some that pull them as a complete swap. I ended up buying a couple engines from a yard in grand rapids michigan.

Have you tied calling the local yards?
I know Carthage has everything imaginable. I've always gotten what I have needed from them.

There are also a few good yards out in cleves. Something brothers if I rember correctly.

The biggest problem is I recently moved to Maryland, don't really know what the good yards to go to are. Been on car-parts.com made some phone calls. What I've found with that site is they have parts listed but then they will tell you they don't have anything like that. I don't think its updated often. Maybe I'm wrong. So if anyone knows of any yards around Maryland, Northern VA, and Southern PA that would be great. Also would prefer to see the motor before I bought it and not have to pay for shipping. Thats the reason I would prefer to keep local.

I would suggest you simply look at local area truck-only salvage yards; the bigger the better. Should be plenty to choose from.

Take a look at Knox Auto. Its a recycle yard out of TN, and they will sell you everything from the battery terminal to the fuel pump. Everything you'd need for a swap and then some.

those guys dont like to haggle, they wanted like 1300 for 5.3 motor complete with 70000 miles on it. and like 2200 for a 6.0

There is an outfit in Texas. That is all they do is sell late model drivetrain parts.

I went through Schram Automotive (found on Ebay). My engine/trans was practically new( 400mls) with all accessories, wiring, and dbw module/pedal. $3000

E-bay seller LKQonline - Can get complete 4.8/5.3s from $200-$500. Shipping runs $250-$400 Not bad for complete dropouts. Keep checking there store they have them all the time-

If you want a professional pullout and packaging get it from Schram. I got my LQ9 thru LKQ and it looked like it was ripped out with a forklift. Yeah, I saved a bit but if I could do it over again I would have had the piece of mind getting it from Schram. Eventhough LKQ told me they tested the engine, I was weary until it was in and running.

I got mine from will at www.americanpickupsalvage.com he always has 15-20 complete packages available. he is in arkansas. i bought i complete 06 model lq4 6.0 with 4l80e tranny with 16k miles on it for $2750.00 it had no wires cut.very neat no damage on it.
