I am actually building one right now

I am going with a ls1 with ported 243's a fast 90/90 and still deciding on the cam.I think I am going to go with Art Morrison front/rear suspension. I will be running 325-50-15 M/T's. I already have the engine and heads are out for porting right now. My father passed away and the car was sitting in storage for 22years.
I didnt even believe that there was a car in the storage unit when I opened it.

Wow, looks like you're work will be cut out for you.
I had zero rust but then again mine is a replica.

Mine has performance comparable to the new ZR-1 Vette which is scary fast. I hope yours will be just as peppy.

Many will find this hard to believe, but what you started with was a very solid base for a Healey restoration! There is a ton of room in the engine compartment for this swap.

The LS engine is going to be quite a bit lighter than the Healey lump; I trust you have found some lighter springs?

No doubt this is going to be a tough task. I have access or have friends that have access to everything I will need to get the labor aspect of it done. Labor is going to be the cheap part on it. I have it pretty well thought out on what the plans are though. Now comes the tough part, having enough money to buy all of the parts required to do this build. I do already have the engine/heads/trans/wiring/ecu but that is only a fraction of parts needed as you probably already know though haha

You did a very nice job on that

I can only imagine what the performance is like on it. It has to be a scary ride

I was originally going to do some fender flares similar to the replica but the more I look at it I really think it looks a little smoother without the flares. Seeing as I am going all out I figure I will just tuck the 325's under the stock fenders.

IMHO flares dumdumdum! I think it would look silly with that much tire stuffed under the body without flares.

The outside of the tire will sit in the exact spot the original tire sat. The tire isnt going to be tucked per-say. Also the way the car will sit I doubt you will be able to see much tire underneath it.

Like I said IMO it will look cleaner flare-less.
