Default 2 last wiring questions c230 2001

I have had the engine running for a couple weeks now and am finishing up some wiring, I am down to wiring in the OBDII sensor and hopefully an SES or MIL light. I have found that both of those wires are on the c230 blue connector, the serial data on an 01 should be the k pin, dark green, can someone verify this is correct?
My next question is the one I am really stumbling on, I would like to run an SES light on my car, I have found that on an 01 the wire to tap should be again on the C230 plug and should be pin B a brown wire with white stripe, does anyone know if this wire is a switched power for the light or a switched ground? Also can I run a regular bulb or do I have to use some sort of LED? Any help would be great, then I can get my dash done!
Thanks in advance.
Jon

Yes on both wires, the MIL is a ground. Not sure the light type, assume either would work.

You can use a regular lightbulb. In fact it seems that people who use LED`s have problems with them.

Thanks so much for the help everybody, I will hopefully finish wiring today, I'll post pictures of my completed dash when I have them.
