3 wire -> 1 wire Oil Pressure Sensor?! Hey guys, Swapped an LS1 into my 2000 S10, and a nice t70 turbo on the back of it. The engine is out of a 98 vette. It has the 3 wire oil pressure sensor. My harness from Current Performance (made by Jared) has a single wire o2 sensor plug. Can you connect the single wire to one of the 3 wires in the 3-wire-Sensor to make the gauge work? I don't want to have to go buy a new sensor... 3-wire sensor has: Grey wire= 5 volt source Tan/wht wire=Signal Blk = Ground Right now, i have it Tee'd into the Tan/wht wire. Oil pressure guage is pegged (reading 100+psi) without engine running. Can this be done? hookin it up to one of the other two wires? |

Excuse me, I'm not understanding how this relates to oil pressure? As far as the oil pressure sensors go, why not just adapt the S-10 sensor to you LS block? Then the gauge will read as intended. Russ |

Way different threads. The S10's threads are way too big. The LS block's threads are very small. Russ |
just buy a single wire sensor from a gen III engine out of an older silverado. same resistance values....problem solved. |
