Default Allow me to introduce myself...

First off - Hello Everyone.
This is actually my first time ever visiting this board - and I must say - I am truly impressed with this forum. It is excellent! And BTW - I come from CZ28.com. OK, enough with the junk...

Other than acting arrogant, trying to prove what I know, and thinking I am too good for advice/help, I will just humble myself and say it plainly...
I am going to be swapping out a 3.4L V6 with a LS1 into a '94 Camaro. I will probably be using you guys as my primary source of information on things I just don't know - or to get more information - or to just help me out. I am not stupid on the subject - but I do have questions.

While reading through the sticky at the top of this forum I noticed a couple of guys who had done a LT1--->LS1 swap, so I am hoping to get their attention some too.

That's it for now - and I look forward to posting here.

yo. I did this swap 3 years back in a 99 v6 car, It was truly a pain in the *****, If you do this swap you really need a parts car to make it all come together properly, I used every piece from the other car even the damned gas pedal was dif't, It took us 3 days with a lift air tools 3 mechanics a complete running parts car and a lot of patience...IMO Id save the 5 or 6 grand youre gonna spend and put it on a ls1 f car...If you decide to still swap it, you're more than welcome to E mail me...

Thanks for the encouragement!
I actually thought about doing that - and then just swapping the front end off of a '93-'97 over to the '98 car, but I would end up with the same amount of money tied up in it, plus missing out on the fun of saying I have a '94 LS1 Camaro.

Also, this way, I can buy it piece at a time and keep my wife from killing me (except when it comes time to buy the engine/tranny ). But I already have some of the parts, and some stuff already swapped over - so I am actually looking forward to it. I just hope I can get it done within a matter of 2 weeks or less. I will have air tools - 4+ mechanics at my disposal (including myself...), and an overhead lift...

I am hoping just to lift the whole front-end up and slide in the new K-Member and all with the engine and tranny on it. I will be asking more questions on all that later though.

Welcome to the site! A couple members here have performed identical swaps. The cool thing is that your insurance company will still think its a V6

Tony, I had my 99 "v6" 2 years Insurance was only like 89 a month!! so you're right about that. The guy that bought the car from me f-king loves that thing because he too is saving on insurance wherever the hell in TX he is now.

Im not trying to be a dick Im just saying the job is large..Id really like to see you stash a parts car outta your wifes sight...much cheaper I see 98-9s wrecked for in the 3's, same money as buying the driveline from someone, and youre gonna need the fuel lines fuel tank rear end etc etc.. If ya have any Q's hit me up.

Complete cars in the $3k's? WHERE? If that were the case - I would definitely go that route. I am hoping though to build a pretty much exact parts list (I know there are gonna be some things that get left out...) that way I can price it before I do it - just so I know. If I were to find a parts car for >$4,000 though, I would without question just go that route.

Oh - and I didn't think you were coming off like a pecker or anything.

I am located in Northwest GA...
There are about 4 F-Body salvage yards within ~2 hours of me. None of them have prices that cheap. But I may be able to find something at a sale - I am in good with a guy that has his on body shop - and he goes to sales all the time, so maybe I can schedule something there. Thanks for mentioning that though.
