porting the throttle body (while I can't speak to its dyno numbers) was one of the best mods I did to the car... it makes the car a LOT more fun to drive and actually gives you more control over your power...

Though I THINK I picked up a few hp from it..

I have the LY6 throttle body too. Did you port it yourself? If not, is there someone here in Georgia who does? Thanks!

I'm planning on using a different ECU at some point in the future - while the e38 is a good ecu, there are better ones out there (I can't complain though, it came with the motor). I know that newer GM ecu's have the class 2 serial data outputs necessary to drive class 2 gauge clusters.

I was considering going a different ECM route myself but I bit the bullet and did the HPtuners investment so Im going to run this and see how it goes. I lost my easy access to alldata though and I dont have the pinouts for the OBDII port so if you guys have or anyone has a schem Id appreciate it.

Im so close to firing this thing up....

Im down to my last details now I have my swap running good but my wiring schem doesnt clearly show which pic I should wire the t56 VSS into for the PCM feed. Im thinking its pin 72 VSS LO 822 lt grn/blk

What did you guys use?

Cam,
I used pin 71, OG/BLK for high signal, and pin 72, YE/BLK for the low signal.
I am using an aftermarket speedo, and ran the leads to the speedo parallel from the ECU.
My scanner reads 158 MPH all the time, but the speedo reads correctly.

Thanks. I too have an aftermarket speedo and its already wired and working fine straight off the VSS feed from the trans. I was just a bit unsure of which pins to wire the VSS feed into the PCM for its needs is all.

fasterproms. According to their website they charge $100. Nothing you couldn't do yourself carefully with the right tools.

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I think I might try to do it myself. What's the worst that can happen?
