I'M ROLLING... Thanks for the Help!!!

Thanks to all of you, I got her going. I just got back from the test drive around the block!!!! I can't wait to get it tuned and running at tip top shape. First gear feels like I have a rocket attached to my ass!! the reason it wasn't firing was I didn't have the three pin connector that attaches behind the starter hooked up. I assumed that damned thing was something to my EGR, but it wasn't. I had a little smoke at first but it went away. I've will get some pics posted tomorrow. Again, thanks to all that have helped me in my quest. I am hoping I can be of assistance to the next dumb ass that goes down this road.
It took me 3 1/2 months of weekends to do it. I finished a month ahead of schedule.

Congrats! Now spend some time in the internal engine forum and learn how to make these engines REALLY perform. Hint: They are kinda slow in stock form ;)

True. I would never want an LS1 without heads/cam/intake work. That would be unbearably slow... :drive:

Another C-3 with a killer motor. I hope I'm running in a couple of months.

I guess I need to clear some room on the credit card then.. What should I do first, exhaust or cam?

It is best to do a cam and heads together and on these engines that is not cheap. Save your pennies. Exhaust is tricky as well. It is hard to find a set of good LS1 headers that will fit a C3. The right side camaro ones fit fine while the right side vette ones will usually hit somewhere depending on how you mounted your engine. Whereas the driver's side vette ones will fit fine and the camaro ones point out away from the engine instead of straight back. I have been on the lookout for a set for about two years and have yet to find one that fits. You might have to build yourself a set of custom headers or maybe even modify a set of hooker side exhaust to fit the LS1.
