damn that thing is gonna be alot of fun to drive!! what mounts and headers do you plan on using?

BCKNBLK 04-29-2010 11:16 AM

is that a blower on a small block chev? why would you want to get rid of that for a ls1... wouldnt it be pretty comparable in power. Or are you doing up the ls1?

Indrid_Cold 04-29-2010 01:14 PM

Consider my attention grabbed, as I have a 1st gen I'm wanting to swap an LS/T56 into. Good luck with the build!

My neck hurts...

Good luck with the swap. Another thread for me to follow. -Jim

Sorry for all the sideways pics. I don't know why photobucket does that I'll edit them

I drove 3 hours Sunday and picked up a s10 clutch and brake pedal assembly off craigslist. He threw in the stock master and slave too. Due to some serious clearance issues with my headers (pics soon ) I'm thinking I'll have to run the Gto master cylinder and custom make a pushrod for it. Just trying to figure all that out. Don't know if the Gto master and s10 master have the same amount of travel or not. I will upload some pics I did some trading :ninja: lol

were gunna line em up right?

Turbo vs NOS
New School vs Old School
Old Body Style vs New Body Style

Who will be the victor? Only one way to find out.

rickykline 05-10-2010 10:39 PM

for sure man.. ive always wanted to line up with ya.. MINUS THE NOS.. TIL NOW..LOL

i got a welder tonight from dick so im going to pull the motor back out and rebox the front crossmember and probably make some 2.8 style solid frame mounts for it.. rubber might not handle it. still got a ton of shit to do. trans crossmember, have a driveshaft built by dennys, plumb the brake lines for the 9" figure out where im mounting my water to air intercooler.. get a meth kit and install it.. get a fuel pump and injectors a monster stage3 or better clutch. tial 50mm bov and a tial wastegate. mount master cylinder and make a pushrod for it. then tackle all the wiring.. lol :drive:

rickykline 05-11-2010 09:01 PM

got the motor pulled back out today going to go cut the front crossmember out tomorrow and re box it for oil pan clearance

bonecrrusher 05-12-2010 06:38 AM

Hey Ricky... stop wasting time w/ your Turbo Beretta....

Oh and welcome back to Ls1tech....

rickykline 05-12-2010 07:06 AM

Haha I have touched or driven the beretta in over a year. Maybe once the truck is done I'll retune the beretta and have two turbo dailys lol

bonecrrusher 05-12-2010 07:18 AM

Nothing wrong w/ that... I am finally out of the V6 world.... picked up a G8 GT as my DD a few weeks back! You on AIM anymore?

rickykline 05-12-2010 08:03 AM

98SuperchargedLs1 05-12-2010 10:33 AM

looking good.. cant wait to see it finished

2XR95Z28 05-12-2010 02:44 PM

Swap is looking good, im currently working on my 95 s10, 5.3 with a T70 mounted in the bed. Hoping to start on the turbo kit fabbing this weekend so i'll update my build thread once i get more progress done.

How are you going to route your charge pipe from the turbo to the intake? I see your gonna run an A2W IC, im interested in how your gonna route all this. Are you going to keep the downpipe routed to in front of the front tire like that?

Keep up the good work...

rickykline 05-12-2010 08:45 PM

Thanks bro can't wait to see your pics. I have some hood clearance problems with turbo turned forward so I don't know if I want to chop up my expensive ass harwood cowl. I did however get my front crossmember cut out and re boxed with 1/8 plate today as well as notched a spot in the frame rail to clear the crossover on the passenger side. Also went and picked up a jeep Cherokee steering shaft today to help with header to steering clearances have to cut it down a few inches to make it fit and re weld it.

bonecrrusher 05-15-2010 06:45 AM

Turbo LSx sDime... nice... hehe... should be faster then the Burrito.
