I didn't see in your thread anywhere where you checked PTV clearance. Did you check it and if you did did you check with the phaser at full retard and advance?
I have also have an '08 ly6 (9500 mi) that someday I'll get to swap into a Regal someday when it transforms back from a pile of parts.
I already have a cam EPS 226/234 113+2 not installed yet. I'm hoping to be able to bump compression up a 1. by milling and/or with gaskets. If i can achieve it without flycutting.
Lately I'm considering keeping the vvt intact and the vvt-2 or even the vvt-3 are a couple cams I am considering. So I'm wondering if bumping the compression would be an option

I did not check but I would definitely with a vvt-3 which I also wouldnt run without a bump in compression. but ti check you would have to check with it full advance (which I think it is automatically, then again with full retard.

Truck is coming along nicely man, been following the build on here and the s10forum. I plan to do the same front brake swap since I am upgrading my stock single piston front/drum rear on the monte to the ls1 dual piston front/single piston rear on the monte. How was the difference in braking? I assume mine will be dramatic. lol ANd as for the rotors being cut down, I still have to do it just trying to find a place that will do it.

Luckily, theres a brand on summit that looks similar to the 338s in 15's so i can run a 325/50/15 DR . Need them fat tires outback! lol
Btw, who did your harness? CPW did mine and for some reason I can not seem to find out why I have no Neutral safety switch down where the vehicle speed sensors are and the large connector on the transmission side of the harness. I do have the t42 TCM connector up where the ECM is but no NSS to be found. Weird.....didn't know about yours because I saw in earlier page that you had a NSS on your 4l80e....

Yea I said I have a 4l80e but I have no NSS down the transmission line of the harness. And I am not sure what year my trans is out of, I heard that tag on the passenger side with the stamped numbers says what year it is, farthest numbers to the left, but mine says 01 and I am not sure if it is or not. So I am rather confused at this point.

Hmm On my trans side of the harness it has 2 vss plugs, a round plug and 2 square plugs for the nss. Yours has to have one or the ecu wont know what position the shifter is in

His Ly6 PTV results won't apply to most since he had to tear apart the bottom end and ended up upgrading to flat top pistons with valve reliefs. I'm sure you knew that too.
Did I miss if you got the bugs out for a dyno tune? And is that new best 12.2 before or after?
Awesome build by the way. S10 beast

Yep youll have to install one for whatever year the trans was wired for. It just slides over the gear selector shaft and bolted down with bolts in the two threaded holes on each side of the shaft.

Pics of the completed suspension
Bit higher now should settle some and be back where it was before the old ones took a crap
Old leafs.
Reinstalled the zq8 rear sway bar that I never put back on when I did the axle swap in '06
Used scrap 1" square tubing to make the bars axle mount.
Used Autocad to make a radius to trace.
Welded on a 1/8" plate to give the poly bushing more area to bite to.
Welded nuts to the back side
Bolted it all together located where the axle mounts need to be and cleaned off the area
All back together after 8 years. Ready to hit some curves.
