Planning at the moment my swap for 88 Monte Carlo, curious what you all ran for the adapters and headers in your conversions? Any issues with header fitment?

BRPs mounts with their headers. Fit great but expensive. I'd go the setback plate route if I.was gonna do it again.

I'm trying to find out the same information. But want to use the the stock 200 4r trans and need info on the motor mounts and headers that work with that trans in it's stock location. I'm gonna follow this thread, hopefully some good info is posted up. Alos not too clear on which brackets to run or which accessories to use in which configuration. I will post any info I find out also !

I was just going to make a thread on this but I was looking at the BRP LT headers, to work on a 5.3 with truck accessories. Will the BRP mounts work with the front accessories as well?

I used Trans dept 1 inch set back motor mounts meant for a S10 with a 4 banger, it sets the engine up high for better clearance and then i used a set of shorty 1 7/8 S10 swap headers, which fit great and sound good

I don't think you'll be able to use those truck accessories as the BRP mounts sit pretty high up. But I'm not exactly sure about it so don't quote me on it.

Sorry a bit confused. from what I've read, going with the older gm style transmissions you need to go 1 inch back. I've seen people posts with the 4l60e that their going 1 inch back as well, some are going 5/8 forward then raised as well(BRP), Ive also read stock location. What I want is to use full lengh headers, looking at the corvette accessory kit from gm to clear steering box and linkage for a/c, and notched crossmember to run dual exhaust. I'm dropping the front end about 3 inches so I need to worry about clearance with the pan and headers. Not wanting to pay 400 for the holley pan but appears I have to. I'm going fuel injected and will most likely use the 4l60E. Was planning on going carb but I got some fuel injection parts pretty cheap so going to go that route now.
