power steering lines I am getting ready to have some power steering lines made. I currently have an AN fitting in the pump connecting to some braided line. I am taking that off. I do not have the pump in front of me, and I wanted know what the size of the fitting that goes directly into the pump? The 1 I have the AN fitting going into. It is a p/s pump from a 2006 Escalade. I am guesing al ot of the trucks of that year are the same. Thanks |
M18x1.5 for the high pressure, M16x1.5 for low. Here's what I did, but don't go the AN-to-metric route -- it's way too expensive. |

I re-read your thread/post. I see: (2) 16mm x 1.5 (1 of wich came in the repair kit) & (1) 18 mm x 1.5. So, the other end of the hi-pressure line is the other 16mm x 1.5. Thanks |
Has anyone used this fitting for the high pressure side? http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS+Performan...00706/10002/-1 JEGS Performance Products #555-100706 Power Steering Adapter Fitting -06AN x 18mm x 1.5 O-Ring What is up with -06AN? Is that the same as -6AN? |
ya, sorry about that -- I was thinking gear, not pump. the pump is M16x1.5 (go about 3/4 of the way down this page). And -06 AN is the same as -6 AN -- that's just a typo on Jegs' part. Go with one of those and one M18x1.5/-6AN and you'll be golden. |

I have everything on except my new -6AN x 18mm x 1.5 O-ring Thanks, Brandon |
I used a premade line from DRM for a C4 corvette. Mine was a 05 c6 pump to a 96 c4 steering rack. |
