Our 89 Notchback Race Car, Restoration. Lots of pics
Well first off let me start by saying this is not a LS swap but it is a 421 SBC. My father and I have been working on this for a few years now here and there. Some people may know the car from the philly area. It was Marcus Thompsons old BBC car. My father is the mastermind and body guy behind this project and the money. I just picked the car and wrenched and helped as much as i could. He is a very very picky person but thats the kind of person you want when restoring cars. So much detail has been put into this project...
But here are the pictures.
Photo in the ad on Racing junk.
Day we looked at it and decided to buy it.
Let the cleaning begin.
The 700+ HP 421 SBC
Widened the quarters
Filling in holes, welded.
Primer
mocking up engine and trans
tear back down, undercoating inside and under
ready for paint
Paint
Putting it all back together
Thats how she sits as of now..
Here is a picture of the other race car we built.. 72 Nova same color.
