Its just weird because it never did this on the ls1 build. And the other day my water pump decided it wanted to spit out the upper hose barb fitting the one that's pressed in. So after I get that swapped out I will check out the skip shift stuff and then that is eliminated before I pull the trans. Can I just unplug it and see if it acts the same? And it is on the driver side correct?

My first go around I used a Wildwood master and made own brackets. Never really got the geometry right. It worked but not smooth like it was supposed to. I now have a McLeod hydraulic conversion kit. Its a nice piece buy still working out the bugs. I pulled the trans and it all looks good. May be a possible slave problem.

I would agree that the GM 5.3 has more potential than the stock Mustang 4.6. However the 5.4 engine I just dropped in my Mustang that came from the Lincoln Navigator is a completely different story. It comes stock with a forged crank, 32 valves in DOHC configuration, and the heads are the same casting as the GT500 heads. And because it's a Modular engine like all the other Ford V-8's, it interchanges all of it's parts just like GM. Meaning I can put the Ford GT parts in my motor just like you can with the LS....... So what it really comes down to is cost and preference. I like the LS almost as much as the Ford. But the Ford's DOHC design is 21st century technology, where as the pushrod configuration in the LS isn't. Also, I bought this engine for $800 and it bolts right up to my stock transmission, stock mounts, and runs on the stock ECU........ With that said, the LS is a lighter, more compact engine than my 5.4, plus its easier to work on. And it's because of those reasons that I'm very eager to stick a 6.0 into the Lincoln LS I'll be buying soon. It'll be my LS into an LS swap. Lol. ;-)

Well long time no see everyone! Finally got my stuff back together. I was having some shifting issues but I believe I have fixed the problems! No with a new McLeod master and hydro ton, resurfaced flywheel and new disc it seems to have fixed it. I will post some pics up soon and well. I also did my torque boxes and got me some new wheels and 10 way strange struts on all 4 corners. If anyone has questions or needs help MESSAGE me a pm and I will respond. I don't check this thread to often anymore since my build is done. Thanks guys! Ready for spring and seat time!
