Drilling LS2 water pump?

I want to drill my 06 GTO Ls2 water pump, and connect a a 1/8npt to 4an 90 degree fitting. The fitting will fit right under my throttle cable wheel and face backwards. I plan on venting all 4 lines on head to the kurt urban box and then 1 4an line back to the fitting on the pump. Does this setup sound like it will vent ok, and is the ls2 pump thick enough to install the fitting just past where the upper hose fitting stops? Thanks for the help!

If you're talking about the circular boss on top of the pump, yes, there's plenty of material there to drill and tap.

No, I have a gto ls2 water pump, so I have no circular boss. I was going to drill it behind where the upper hose connects. Thanks

I see, AC delco shows both types of water pumps for LS2 GTO. If you're concerned, several others have tapped above the heater hose inlet/outlets too.
