Default 1 wire vs 2 wire oil pressure sending unit

I asked this question in general and didn't get any responses so figured i'd try here.

My car is a 98. 98s use a 2 wire, can i use a 1 wire off a newer ls1? If i read correctly the newer ones switched to a 1 wire because they are internally grounded. Plug looks the same for both?

I broke my 2 wire...trying to save $40 and use a 1 wire i had laying around.

Thanks.

You ever figure this out? My daughters car is a 99 and now has a 98 engine and trans. But keeping the 99 harness and computer due to the difference where the wires plug in the kick panel. Do I need different knock sensors if the tuner new the swap info? I understand about the temp sensors being different. But on the harness where I think it should be the oil pressure sending unit plug (on the 99 I have 1 tan wire on the 98 it is 1 tan 1 black) the 99 harness is missing the plug. Can I use the 98 sensor and plug if I ground the black wire?

Yes, just add a ground and the 98 OPSU will read just fine
