Can't Get Scanner to Link I get "Data Link Error" on my Acutron scanner. My setup is a 01 Fbody PCM (01 Z28 Camaro 5.7) into a Porsche 914. Car runs fine from the day I first started it, but the OBD2 port never worked. I buzzed out the wires on the OBD2 connector; pin 2 to blue 58, pin 4 to chassis ground, pin 5 to chassis ground, pin 16 to +12V constant. I read through the previous thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...r-link-up.html and still can't get a link up. In the previous thread, some suggested that if you run pin 5 ground directly to the PCM ground, it fixed their link up. I ran a ground from pin 5 directly to the PCM ground on the left cylinder head (rear) which is the original 01 Fbody PCM ground location. Still no luck. I don't have a 01 Fbody schematic to see exactly how the OBD2 is wired on the Camaro, but I think I've got it right. I'm looking for suggestions on where to look next. Any help is greatly appreciated. Andy1 |
Have you ruled out that the scanner is the issue ? Run down to a shop that scans for free and see if there scanner can connect. Sounds like you have it wired up connect iirc.. |
