I have installed the gm muscle car pan and am just waiting on my cam and associated parts to get here from texas speed. Cant wait to start bolting this thing in! I also opted to purchase a new harness from bp automotive instead of having mine reworked.

I have the stock gto oil pan, alternator and starter to sell now but unfortunately havnt met the criteria to post in the classifieds here yet.

I used the holley set up in my 83 cutlass with 17/8 ceramic long tubes .pulled nose off car .I installed motor and trans in one shot took about 30 min. Headers fit perfect went in nice from underneath. If I were u I would go with holley set up but to each his own.just research everything there are a few combos that work nice killer car

Installed the ebay 1" setback plates. Had to do a little clearancing on the plates, and the motor mounts them selves. the stock motor mount has a raised u shape on the back that I cut out so it would sit flush against the plate.

These mounts seem so far forward on the engine, is this normal?

Modified the gto dbw pedal to work in my car. I didnt want to put and more holes in the firewall so attached it to some flat stock and used the pedal arm from my car. I was unsure about it being tilted the way it is but works great and has full movement.

Will a walbro 255 be a sufficient in tank pump, or should I spend more money on the bosch 044? Or is there another in tank fuel pump I should be looking at?

Awesome work on that pedal!

That fuel pump is sufficient even for a cammed engine.

I installed en efi sender with a walbro 255 in the tank, swapped in the tsp ms3 cam and springs. Then threw the engine and trans in the car. I just recived a shipping confirmation from Bill (BP Automotive) That my new harness is on its way! Alot of little stuff to do yet, but its on its way!

Did you sell the GTO pan and parts? I need a dipstick and tube, if you want to sell separately.

Thanks!

Andrew

Sorry Andrew I already sold the pan and dipstick.

Does any one know if theres an affordable tool to make these flares? I need to cut my power steering line and reflare it to work with the location of this pump. i would get a new line but this line runs all the way up to my hydroboost.

I got the rest of the engine all wired up thanks to Biil's harness (BP Automotive) Seriously cant say enough about how nice this harness is, and Bills support is second to none. He always answers the phone when I call, and is very prompt about getting back to me with pm's. So glad I bought one of his new harness's vs having mine modified. Just need to finish my cold air intake and hook up my existing 3" exhaust to the new headers. Also waiting on a friend to come tune the car so it will actually start. The injectors arent firing because of the vats on the ecm I believe.

Why cant you use the covers? I'm just running these for now since they came with my engine, but I really want the ls2 corvette covers.

I don't think they fit a ls3 style setup. The ones I had just didn't seem to work.

Thanks Bill. The harness worked out perfect! I was able to mount the ecm where I wanted to, and the supplied grommet on the harness was a perfect fit for my cars oem hole in the firewall for the factory harness. The only thing thats really visible is the sleek relay/fuse block. I love it!

Thats the look I was going for. I need to remove the cast Iron mastercylinder for my hydroboost brakes and paint it, but other then that I'm happy with the under hood appearance.

I'll Get a video of it running up as soon as I can.

One of my plug wires pulled apart when removing it. I pullet it off by holding the heat shield around the boot, but the metal clip stayed attached to the spark plug and pulled the wire apart. They are the originals with 75k miles on them so I'm sure it wont hurt to replace them. Would premium napa/auto parts stores wires be sufficient or should I be getting oem delco's/aftermarket?
