I just put an F body pan on my 5.3 with an f body dip stick and dip stick tube with no issues as of yet it lined up to a threaded hole in the head. I would say it should work I'll go out in the garage and post a pic. So you can see if it may work for you.

I'm using an 02 vette pan and dipstick/tube on my LQ9. Fits fine but the oil markings are not correct. You're best bet is to fill the correct amount for the pan and check dipstick markings.
Btw, the CTS-V pan/dipstick/tube in a 5.3 had the oil markings line up correctly.
