Tach signal assistance Finally finished rebuild of my lm7 and 4l60e out of a 2003 chevy express 1500 and have it installed in my 72 c10 Can't find a tach signal the van pin out us different than truck and I even put a pin in the green connector #10 but no signal any suggestions would be greatly appreciated |
Can't remember what pin it is, but I, like many have had to boost the signal for an aftermarket gauge |
It is pin 10 on the green connector. Like slocaddy said, you most likely need a pull up resistor. here's a link to it. http://lt1swap.com/lsx_tach.htmIf you're using a factory tach, or a reproduction of one, the easiest way to hook up the resistor is to just put it between the two terminals on the back of the tach. |
Thanks for the replies I'm using an Intellitronix gauge set it's digital with led's and is a motherboard setup I will try this thanks for the info and link |
