Turbo'd LS Raysoncraft 5 Attachment(s) Finished my second flatbottom project a couple months ago. 5.3ls, Borg Warner S366 turbo and controlled by a Holley HP EFI. Runs and drives great, still working on the tuning to get it just right. |
Looks pretty cool. Pretty quiet too. Did you rebuild the motor prior to the install or just toss it in with the turbo? We need some hole shot videos once you get the tuning dialed in. Great job. Jim |
Bad ass. Nice way to repurpose a boat that likely had a tired ol heavy big block in it. |
Nice project...watching your video sure makes me miss my old Sanger bubble deck. |
Toddoky, are you ex-Californiano? Sangers are/were built right here near Fresno, but likely have national distribution, so maybe not a relevant question. |
Yes, I'm a West Coast transplant from down south in Orange County. I've been here in KY since 2010. |
I used to live in Cerritos (on Orange County border, lol)until 1977. Now in San Joaquin Valley. OK, resume thread! Sorry for the hijack! |
this thing is awesome, wicked clean build. we want more videos! any in process pics or what the boat looked like when you started? |

It's a small world...I lived in Cerritos and graduated from Cerritos High School in 1982. The boating culture in California is awesome. |
What's the top end on that? |
Its a stock 5.3 with a Howards ASA cam, new springs and lifters. I don't know the top speed yet, but its fast. In the video my son's driving and in the end he's in the low sixties. I've had it up to mid seventies but mostly been doing pulls and logging to make sure the tuning is right. A lot different tuning in a boat. |
Sweet!!! This would be a great toy! |
