Won't idle. Good evening all. This is my first post on a form so please excuse my ignorance if any. I currently own a 88 jeep Comanche that has a 5.7 LS1 swap with a 4L60E. I'm experiencing a idle issue where the engine will fire right up, idle around 1000 -1100rpm then drop down and stumble tell it dies. This issue happens regardless of engine temp, it can be cold and happen or up to normal operating temp and still happen. you can get it to stay running by the throttle but only holding it above 2000rpm will it stay running. i can get it up on the highway and drive a 45min drive and cruise at any mph and it runs fine, but once i hit a light or come to a stop it spits and dies. But will fir right back up everytime. You can smell fuel like its flooding. I've replaced the MAF because the old one looked rough and had a broken resistor in the middle thinking that my be my issue, but the same problem remains. the swap is using the corvette regulator/filter, so i swapped it out with a brand new one thinking it went bad (as they're known to do) but the issue still remains. Just lookng for any advice I'm new to the LS stuff. |
