Dyno'ed the LS1 conversion today

Stopped by SpeedTek on the way home today and dynoed the LS1. How does this sound for a car using the wrong year computer and throwing 16 codes. I think I can pick up 10 horses with tuning and more fuel.

319 rwhp 336 rwtq a/f peaked at 15:1 at 4500 rpms
314 rwhp 328 rwtq a/f peaked at 14:1 at 4700 rpms
311 rwhp 324 rwtq a/f peaked at 14:1 at 4700 rpms

Motor pulls hard all the way to 6500 rpm and was sitting at 190 - 210 degrees the whole time.

Looks like I'm at about 370 to 380 at the flywheel if my LSU math is right. Not bad for a stock motor.

Those are some really nice numbers there. You should be proud. Bring down that A/F ratio!

Not bad at all!!! Sorry to get off the subject but you wouldnt happen to have any pictures of your motor in your car would you? My dad has a 77 stingray with a 383 stroker. He hates that motor. He wants something a little smaller with little less power just to cruise around in. Ive been trying to talk him into an LS1 but he dont know. So if you have any pics could you email them to me or post them I would be interested in seeing them. Thanks, Vann

BTW: Go have that baby tuned & keep us updated with the new #'s. Later! :burn:

Nice #s Buddy. I may be able to get mine dyno'd in a few weeks when Wheel2Wheel has their open house. (If there's no snow on the ground.)

99PewterZ28- Check out My site, Budman78's site, and 70LS1's site for lots of swap info and LS1 C3 Corvette pictures. I don't know about less power but the street manners of my car went waaaay up with fuel injection and 6 gears.

Where did you read the A/F from....an O2 bung or the end of the tailpipe?

Budman78 Nov 8, 2004 08:13 AM

Tail pipe.
