Where's the VIN? I have a engine/trans/PCM/wiring drop-out from a 2002 TA WS6 and was wondering if there was any way that I could identify the VIN number either from the engine or the PCM? Thanks... PS - I do not have access to the body to look at the dash or the frame. |
You have to read it with some type of scan tool. When I was ordering HP Tuners, I had to drive my car to a dealership and have a tech hook up a Tech2. Any particular reason why you want to know? |
Since I never saw the car that this driveline came out of I was interested in seeing what options were on it. I got all the dash and body computers and brake systems so when I begin bringing on these systems up I would like to know if they match what the electronics thinks it's supposed to be seeing. I would also like to check the VIN against some databases to see if there is any "history" on this car that I should know about... Scooter70...since you are the "New Motor in Old Car Director", you may be interested to know that this driveline is going into a 1950 Merc! |
