From start to finish...what's a good gameplan?

I'm putting an LT1 (booooooooooooooo, I know! :) ) into an '89 Jag XJ6. I wanted to do an LS1-based swap, and that's the reason I came here in the first place. However, for various reasons, it's gonna be an LT1. Anyway, I'm starting with a running, driving Jaguar, and I don't have the donor engine/trans yet. I'm doing this at home with a 2-car garage (with her side taken) and I know I can't leave this stuff around for a few years. :judge: And, I want to drive this thing pretty soon. I'm sure I should pull the existing drivetrain immediately, since I might be able to get some $$$ for it. After that, should I drop in the engine/tranny as a unit, or separately? Anything special that should be done before it goes in, besides clean up the engine bay area? I'm just trying to avoid any rookie mistakes, since I've never put in an engine that didn't come in the car in the first place. By the way, I think this particular model is a good swap car, since the speedo is mechanically driven off the rear end (!), and the stock fuel system is up to the task of the LT1, so I only have to find out how to connect the lines. Also, the F-bod/B-bod accessories will clear without notching the frame, or so I'm told. :bash: Any helpful hints (and yes, I searched first) are much appreciated!
