Ive read that the vette and f-body oil pressure sending units are different. Can someone explain why and how they are different??

My problem is that I need the f-body oil pressure signal to be fed into the serial data signal so it can operate the corvette guages Im using. There is no input for the oil pressure signal in the gauge cluster so I assume in comes through the serial data wire?

any help is appreciated

yea thanks....its another one of those things im doing that I dont think has been done before. Hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction

I've got a vette sending unit here; it's much shorter than the F-Body version. The 'plug' is different as well. It has 3 prongs inside in a triangle shape.

I believe the C5 unit takes the oil pressure from the fitting above the oil filter where the F-body does not.
