Default A few needed answers please.

I had posted this in the pcm threads, but did not get much action. This is in an offroad truck. I need wire harness answers. Please read this and any info is appreciated. Thanks, Joey https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/365066-please-read-info-needed-asap-please.html

Looks like you have your question answered in the one post showing whats needed for it to run.

Without getting all techy, the ECU needs a certain number of sensors to be able to run correctly. Without one or the other, the ECU will run in limp mode. One sensor feeds lots of information for the ecu. I also think you got mixed up between the MAP and MAF. You can run your engine without the MAF but you need the MAP sensor. To delete the MAF you just run a speed density tune. Front O2's are a must, I havn't seen one GenIII run without em.

You are right, I did get mixed up between the MAF and the MAP. The MAF in front of the t.b., can be deleted right? Where is the MAP?? Also you mentioned o2 sensors. Is there more then one? My headers have only one bung in them, am I missing something? Can I also delete the surge canister and cap the line out of the intake/t.b.? I will have a vent from the fuel cell to the open air. Thanks for the input.

O.K. now that I got all the idiot questions out of the out of the way, I have the correct connections in place. My next question is for the two rear o2 sensors, can I delete the plugs for them or do I have to run the sims? Again thanks for the input.

You can delete the rear O2 sensors from the harness and ECU. But you HAVE to run front O2's.

I would get a PCM editing program in order to delete the diagnostic tests on the stuff you aren't using like the rear O2 sensors, egr, skip shift etc
