What's the diff between "G" & "K" VIN

Got my '98 service manuals yesterday and when I was going through some of the wiring diagrams, some had differences depending on VIN G or K. What is the difference between the two?

One is the 6 cylinder model and the other the V8 Fbody. I don't remember which one is which and I don't have my service manual in front of me.... still at work <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Thanks--that's what I was thinking, just wanted to be sure. "G" is for 5.7, so the "K" must be for the 3800.

G is the 5.7L LS1 V-8
K is the 3.8L L36 V-6

68LSS1.... Do your manuals say second edition across the front in red letters??? There was an update of the 98 manuals... For the most part they are the same, but one big difference is the torque spec for the head bolts. Just thought I would point that out.
