Any fox swap's with a th400?
 

Im going with a th400 and am concerned about firewall clearance and tunnel interference. Anyone have one running or a 4l60e? Im curious what k-member and the amount of beating it took to make it all fit

i got th-400 in my fox. i used the aje 4.6 k-member and 4.6 mounts , which placed the motor real close to the firewall ( about an inch or less) and the tranny fits in there with no issues. i used 4 bolts to hold it in and only one of them is a bit hard to get to ( and by hard i mean as hard as it to get to on a stock f-body)

i also used the stock ford xmember to hold the ranny up , and if i remeber correctly i flipped it around so the big hump was on the shifter linkage sidt to give me more room to play with the exhaust. all i had to do to the x-member was to move it back a few inches ( i used the rear part of the original mounting tabs and bolted in new ones to make the new rears) so the tranny lines up. you can fabricate your own x-member and not have to do that step.

as far as i remember, no BFHs where involved. :D

I have a th400 in mine as well... I didnt have any issues with fit. I just modified the stock crossmember to work.
