Is this a really good deal for a complete with acc, harness and pcm? Includes pedal and all that wiring as well. 40k miles on it.

hell yes, its probably worth more than that in scrap metal, put an Ls6 cam in and have fun

That sounds about right to me. I have heard that you can pick up 5.3L`s with everything for $500, but in the 3 years I have been keeping my eyes open I have never seen one for that. I bought my 5.3, complete with everything for $800 and it had 109K on it.

Hell it's little but still a damn good motor you might be able to get some kinda crazy stroker thing going.

the salvage yard by me is selling some 5.3L's for $900 w less than 60K on both. They also got a 38K 2002 6.0L for $1500. So I would say that the 4.8 is a reasonable deal.

man what a difference a few years makes. I remember you couldnt touch a complete LS engine for less than $3000

I saw a 5.3/4l60e in a salvage yard on 21st ave and deer valley.
$1000 for motor/trans/harness/pcm/acc's

I bought my 5.3 from a local salvage yard complete engine with harness with 59k for $400, but it took me a long time to find a good deal. $700 for a complete 4.8 is good. Wish I could find affordable 6.0's around San Antonio with decent miles.

Check the yard's on military and somerset road. There is a guy his name is terry that works at brothers in sa and I have always had great luck on low prices through him but we also buy a ton of stuff bc of our shop.

my 6.0 came with harness, all acc., 4l80e trans, intake to oil pan, was an 05' (this was last year) that was in a van that was damaged in transit to the deal, cost me $3700 for everything with 5 miles on the entire setup

I paid 2500 for my 02 5.3, t56, harnesses, pedal assembly, TAC, C4 front and rear suspension and all of the accessories.
